U.S. Independence Day with the presence of state leadership

            With intonating of American and Serbian national hymns and with the presence of the state leadership of Serbia and the numerous guests, yesterday at the residence of U.S. Ambassador in Belgrade, a national holiday of the U.S., 4th July- Independence Day, was celebrated.

            Addressing the guests, including Serbian President Boris Tadic and Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic, U.S. Embassy Charge d’ Affaires Jennifer Brush said that the friendships gained in Serbia are “the friendships for life” and expressed readiness for further improvement of relations between Serbia and the U.S. ..

“In addition to all that our two countries have experienced, I am proud of what we together have managed to overcome and more ready to strengthen and improve relations between the U.S. and Serbia. The visit of Vice President Biden is an additional impulse to strengthen the common interests of our two countries” said Brush.

She recalled that “the 4th July is the day when Americans remember their history and express commitment to democracy, tolerance and justice” and that this is the first celebration of the Independence day since the president Barack Obama was inaugurated.

            “For me is the great honor to address you today. When I, 36 years ago, arrived at the railway station in Belgrade, as a participant in a student exchange program, I didn’t know that I would represent the USA, today” said Brush and expressed a desire that some of the young people who now go on exchange programs in the United States would one day represent Serbia.

            “Friendships that I have made in Serbia are friends for life” said Jennifer Brush, who will serve as head of the mission until the arrival of new ambassador. She, also,  took the opportunity to welcome the participants of the Universiade, including athletes from the USA. The ceremony, beside president Tadic and prime-ministar Cvetkovic, was attended by many ministers of the Serbian government, representatives of the diplomatic cores, media and public life of Serbia.

Private Doctors  Against Fiscal Register Cash


At the Meeting of the Association of Private Doctors of Serbia held on April 9, 2009 they have come to the following conclusions:

1.The implementation of Fiscal Cash Register in private health is illegal because health services are not taxed and the are out PDV./Tax for aditional Value/ and it is not  necessary to implement it except if it is about to ask provision for implementation of fiscal  cash register to the private sector.

2.Implementation of Fiscal  Cash Register for private health services only is violation of the Constitution because the same services for the state health are not  recorded  and not to mentioned Fiscal Cash Register, special services and participation.

3. How to transport Fiscal Cash to home visits, how to go in the field or how to register gratis examination, who will be  able to certify health services?

4.Fiscal Cash Registers are not used anywhere in the world.

5.The above arguments clearly demonstate that the implementation of Fiscal Cash Registers to the private doctors is maltreatment of honest tax payers who  are not in the black market  neither in private nor in the state sector.

These justified requests of private doctors have been proceeded to the President of the Government of Serbia and to the ministers of trade and finance as well as to the Assembly` s Board for Health.
